“The
Friends of the Valley” Group
This group consists of 6 organic
producers in the Valluretta who adhere to this initiative:
Donkey breeding, grape growing and wine-making, breeding of Piedmont cattle,
goat raising and cheese making, traditional salami production.
These producers extend an invitation to you, and make themselves available
for a visit and tasting of their products.
The visits to each producer are on scheduled days and free of charge.
Restaurants
Numerous restaurants in the area offer lovely menus with typical dishes of
the Piacentine tradition, at very attractive prices, some of whom are located
within 3 minutes of our farm.
Castles and Medieval Villages
Within a few kilometers of our farm you can visit the numerous castles, who
also offer guided tours: The Castles of Agazzano, Rivalta and the Rocca d’Olgisio.
History lovers can also explore the Roman burg of Bobbio, named a “City
of Art”, and the authentic modern reconstruction of a medieval town
at Grazzano Visconti.
Horseback Riding
Only 3 kilometers from us a stable offers horseback riding lessons for adults
and children, courses in dressage as well as equestrian itineraries.
Golf
The “Croara Country Club” is only 10 minutes from us, and offers
an 18 hole course.
Swimming
The outside swimming pool of Gragnano is 15 minutes away, with two pools,
aquatic slide, greenery, and the possibility of swimming lessons, and water
games for children from 3 years of age.
In the evening there is an open air cinema and dancing.
The Trebbia River
Just 20 kilometers away is the beautiful Trebbia river and valley, with its
clean, transparent waters offering a wild and uncontaminated nature setting.
Festivities and Cultural
Events
From June to September every town, small or large, organizes a festival, usually
on the weekends, with stands offering typical foods of the area, and in the
evenings live orchestras and dancing.
The festival of our local town of Piozzano, one of the most popular in the
area, is the second weekend of July.
Concerts and shows are also scheduled during the summer months by most of
the local societies and towns
